For mt next assignment I chose to give advice to my younger self with this 4.5 star assignment. Technically this assignment said sixteen year old self, but I decided to make it a little more general. I chose a Polaroid theme with post-it notes to […]
For my first assignment I chose an art in 6 seconds assignment worth 4 stars. The directions were simple, make a 6 second video creating something.

I chose to create a fortune teller because I thought it was simple but nostalgic. I remember making these all the time when I was is middle school and I recently started making them again. Not necessarily filling them in, but I just thought of it like origami and I found it relaxing. I ended having a lot of trouble keeping to the rules though. Eve doing a hyperlapse video I still was not able to keep my video at six seconds. I will say that I finished the fortune teller itself within the six second mark, it was me taking the time to pop it open and show the finished product that pushed it over six so I still feel that I was successful in this assignment. I chose this assignment specifically because hyperlapse is one of my favorite thing to use in videos and this gave me the opportunity to do so. This assignment was fun and it was nice to take a trip down memory lane with this piece of “art”.
This week we had to do three daily creates. My first one (that I submitted late and I apologize for) is a Youtub dub: Memories of partying together with Celine Dion #ds106 #tdc2116 https://t.co/MM3mt0cDIY — Kasey Mayer (@KaseyMayer) October 26, 2017 I took the song […]
From the “Select One” section I chose the object through different lenses assignment. I chose to take picture of different types of drinking objects. The type of drinkware that I’ve used over the years has definitely evolved. I though it would be fun to explore […]
For my second web assignment I chose this 4.5 star assignment to design my own bedroom using Pinterest. Although my actual bedroom has come closer to my ideal dream room, it still has a long way to go. I created a new board on Pinterest and added furniture and decor that I would want in my dream room. Some of the things I include are:
- Oversized reclaimed wood headboard
- Large bed with a white comforter and muted color accents with pillows and blankets (dusty rose/taupe color)
- Abstract colorful paintings
- Simple minimal desk
- Geometric shelving
- Statement mirror
- Some DIY pieces
I really like white minimalist decor with a few statement colorful paintings to bring some interest back to the room. However, I am not the neatest person and will likely at some point eat in my room so white furniture does not work well with this. I actually have recently switched to a white and grey comforter in my actual bedroom and have kept it clean, but the idea of a full white one is actually kind of terrifying. I’m also an introvert and stay home often so I would want lots of plants in my space. I do have several spread out through my apartment now, but I don’t really have any at home. The headboard I pinned is an actual one that I want, but cannot currently (and probably will never be able to) afford. I like to combination of soft and bright, geometric shelving and flowing plants. I want to have this minimalist room because I think it would help my feel more organized, but I have lots of knick knacks and wall pieces that I love and want to put up as well. I also like doing DIYs. While I would not try to keep everything, I would want to keep a few of my favorites to keep in my room. I’m moving in the right direction of my dream room, but still have a long way to go (and probably will be moving that way for a long time.
Rather than completely change a cite, I chose to change to view of a cite. I took the Rotten Tomatoes review of the 1997 Batman and Robin. Arguably, this is one of, if not the most, hated version of the Batman franchise. While I don’t think its great, I actually enjoy watching this movie. So I decided to change it to a super positive review of one of my guilty please movies.
I changed every single score to be over 100%. They’re all ridiculous like 10000000/5 or 999%. I also edited to bars to show a 100% approval rating. I changed the description of the movie to demonstrate its high spot in the Batman hierarchy. I also changed each individual written comment to be more positive. For the most part I trying to keep towards the comments original topic, but I made it positive instead of negative. I also changed other description aspects such as the time of the movie and its rating.
It took my a little bit to get the hang of X-Ray Goggles and there were a few bugs when I was working that caused me to start over, but overall, I am really happy with how this turned out. I think its a funny take on a not-loved movie that I for some reason really enjoy and make it a movie chart topper.
